This is a guide for using your own external process/platform to collect registrations/sign-ups for your Sched event. This allows you to use your preferred process/platform for event registration in conjunction with Sched. You can add your attendees to Sched using one of the import options outlined below.
Registration & Event Privacy Settings
First, set the privacy of your event to prevent people from signing up for your event on Sched.
- Go to Settings > General in your event Control Panel
- Select Edit in the Privacy section
- Select your preferred event privacy option:
- Public event with invite-only login: if you DO want people to be able to view your event before they are registered and logged in as an attendee.
- Private event with invite-only login: if you DO NOT want people to be able view your event before they are registered and logged in as an attendee.
- Click Save
Import Your Attendees
Option 1: Add many attendees into Sched via a spreadsheet:
- Go to the Attendees section in your event Control Panel
- Click on the ➕icon
- Download spreadsheet
- Add your Event registrant information to the spreadsheet
- Click Select File and select spreadsheet
- Click Upload
- Select your preferred upload option:
- Add: if you DO NOT want attendees to be sent a Welcome Invite Email ( this can be sent later)
- Add + Send Invite: if you DO want attendees to be sent a Welcome Invite Email
- Go to the Attendees section in your event Control Panel
- Click on the ➕icon
- Enter the Name and Email of the attendee
- Select +Photo and +Extended Fields if you wish to add this additional attendee profile info
- Select your preferred upload option:
- Add: if you DO NOT want attendees to be sent a Welcome Invite Email (this can be sent later)
- Add + Send Invite: if you DO want attendees to be sent a Welcome Invite Email

- Go to the Attendees section in your event Control Panel
- Click on the Cloud Icon to access the API section

Things To Keep In Mind
- We only recommend using the API Import option if you are comfortable working with APIs.
