Is your Sched site or mobile app running slowly? Please follow the steps below to help our team diagnose whether the issue is with our servers or your network connection.
Mac
- Download MTR here.
- Install MTR. You may need to adjust your computer's security settings to install: System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General > "Anywhere" and/or confirm the installation of the unsigned package: System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General > Open anyway
- Make sure you're connected to the same wifi network that attendees are reporting trouble with.
- In your Search/Spotlight, search for "Terminal" and press enter.
- In Terminal, type the following (replace YOUREVENT with your own):
mtr YOUREVENT.sched.com - Press Enter to start mtr trace and wait until the red column passes 200:
- Take a screenshot by pressing Command + Shift + 3. You can close the Terminal now.
- Find your Public IPv4 address by going to https://www.whatismyip.com.
- Email support@sched.com your MTR screenshot, your event URL, your event's location, and your Public IPv4 address.
Linux
- Make sure you're connected to the same wifi network that attendees are reporting trouble with.
- Install MTR using your distro's package manager - yum/apt-get/yast mtr
- Open the terminal window and type the following (replace YOUREVENT with your own): sudo mtr YOUREVENT.sched.com
- Wait for at least 200 packets to pass through, and take a screenshot.
- Find your Public IPv4 address by going to https://www.whatismyip.com.
- Email support@sched.com your MTR screenshot, your event URL, your event's location, and your IP address.
Windows
- Make sure you're connected to the same wifi network that attendees are reporting trouble with.
- Download WinMTR from http://sourceforge.net/projects/winmtr/
- Run it, under Host type: yourevent.sched.com, and click Start.
- Wait for at least 200 packets to pass through, and take a screenshot.
- Find your Public IPv4 address by going to https://www.whatismyip.com.
- Email support@sched.com your MTR screenshot, your event URL, your event's location, and your IP address.
