Sched provides two types of feedback forms to help you gather valuable insights from your attendees:
- Session Feedback – for feedback on individual sessions.
- Event Feedback – for overall impressions of the event.
Both types of feedback are automatically active for all events unless the event is using the older Legacy Surveys format (a single-question, emoji-only form). If your event is using Legacy Surveys, these updated feedback forms will not be available unless you switch to the current format. If you don’t see the Feedback Form tab in your dashboard, contact support@sched.com.
All plans include Session Feedback and Event Feedback with the default questions already in the form. If you want to customize questions or add conditional logic, these options are available when you upgrade to the Ultra Plan.
Accessing Feedback Forms
- Go to your event dashboard in Sched.
- Click Feedback Forms in the left-side menu.
- Use the tabs at the top to switch between:
- Session Feedback
- Event Feedback
Setting Up Your Feedback Form
Feedback forms are generated automatically with a set of default questions; there is no need to create them beforehand. You can edit or add questions at any time, or start a new form if you prefer.
To edit and create a custom question.
- Click Edit Feedback — this option is available in both the Session Feedback tab and the Event Feedback tab.
-
Form Details – Add a short message or instructions at the top of the form.
- Form Questions – Adjust the default questions or add new ones. Once done, click Next to add a confirmation message.
Default session questions:
-
- “How satisfied are you with this session?” (cannot be edited, but can be moved and set to star or smiley rating style)
- “What did you like about this session?”
- “How can we make this session better?”
Note: Creating or customizing questions is available with the Ultra Plan, which also lets you build fully tailored feedback forms. On other plans, Session Feedback and Event Feedback still work with the default questions, providing quick, ready-to-use surveys. Upgrading to Ultra unlocks the flexibility to shape questions exactly to your event’s needs — contact our sales team to learn more.
4. Confirmation Message – Add an optional thank-you message shown after submission.
5. Click Done to save your changes. Your form is saved automatically, even if you leave the page.
Enabling or Disabling Feedback for Sessions (Session Feedback only)
You can turn feedback on or off for individual sessions. You can also do this via the session spreadsheet by typing “y” or “n” in the Feedback column, which is the last column.
- Go to Schedule → Sessions.
- Click Edit, or click the session title.
- Toggle Collect Feedback on or off.
Question Types for Session & Event Feedback Forms
Make your feedback forms more personal and relevant with custom questions and conditional logic questions — available only in the Ultra Plan. Here’s how each question type works and when it’s best to use it.
Question Type | What It Does | Example (Event/Session Feedback) | Supports Conditional Questions |
---|---|---|---|
Text | Lets people type their answer in their own words. | “What did you enjoy most about this session?” | ❌ No |
Multiple Choice | Pick only one answer from a list. | “How would you rate the speaker’s delivery?” | ✅ Yes |
Checkboxes | Pick more than one answer. | “Which parts of the session did you find most useful?” | ✅ Yes |
Dropdown (Single Select) | Choose one answer from a dropdown list. | “Which session did you attend?” | ✅ Yes |
Dropdown (Multi-Select) | Choose more than one answer from a dropdown list. | “Which topics did you find most engaging?” | ✅ Yes |
Collects an email address. | “Enter your email to receive the event recording.” | ❌ No | |
Rating System | Lets people give a score using stars ⭐ or faces 🙂🙁. | “Rate the overall quality of the session (1–5 stars or faces).” |
|
Conditional Logic Questions
What it does: Shows follow-up questions only if an earlier answer matches your set condition.
Where it works:
-
✅ Multiple Choice
-
✅ Checkboxes
-
✅ Dropdown (Single Select)
-
✅ Dropdown (Multi-Select)
Why use it: Keeps forms short, relevant, and focused on each attendee’s experience.
Example:
-
Q1: “Was the session content relevant to you?” (Yes/No)
-
Q2: (Only if “No”) “Please share what topics would have been more helpful.”
Feedback Email Reminder
When the Feedback Email Reminder is enabled, attendees receive one email per day during your event with direct links to give feedback.
Email Timing
-
- Sent between 5 PM and 6 PM in your event’s time zone.
- Each attendee gets only one email per day.
- Emails are only sent during the event dates and stop after the last day.
What’s in the Email
-
- A list of sessions they attended that still need feedback.
- A link to the event feedback form (if Event Feedback is ON).
Session Feedback
If Session Feedback is ON:
-
- Attendees get an email each day they have sessions scheduled.
- The email lists only that day’s sessions.
-
Session feedback will open 5 minutes before the scheduled start of each session and can be edited until 10 days after the last day of your event.
Event Feedback
If Event Feedback is ON:
-
- The event feedback email is sent on the last day of the event.
-
Event feedback will open at 9 AM on the first day of your event and can be edited until 10 days after the last day of your event.
🚨 Important: Include Attendees Without a Schedule
This setting controls who gets the event feedback email:
-
- ON (Recommended for maximum feedback): All attendees get the event feedback email, even if they have no sessions scheduled.
- OFF: Only attendees with at least one scheduled session get the event feedback email. Those without sessions will not be prompted for event feedback.
Tip: Turning this ON often increases your overall feedback response rate.
Viewing Your Attendees’ Feedback
Once attendees start submitting feedback, responses appear under each form. You can:
- View ratings (stars or smileys)
- Read attendee comments
- Use the search bar to filter results.
Exports:
- Session Feedback – Downloadable from the Reports tab as an Excel (.xlsx) file.
- Event Feedback – Export not yet available, but will be coming soon.
